are many organizations listed that can be helpful in resolving consumer complaints and other disputes at little or no cost. Such organizations are usually specific to a particular industry or business type. In some cases, they only have limited powers and cannot force a resolution, but contacting them may be a productive first step to explore an alternative dispute resolution process before resorting to expensive, adversarial, and time-consuming court proceedings.
